The New Year has begun and we are hard at work at TFN!
We are very pleased to announce that construction has started on the new Port of Vancouver Container Examination Facility located in the Deltaport Logistics Centre. This important addition to the Canada Border Services Agency’s container inspection facility will service the Deltaport Container Terminal. The 110,000sf facility, located on an 11.4 acre site that has been leased for a 60-year term, is scheduled to be completed by Fall 2017.
This project has been a foundation project for TFN – Not only is it the first major facility in the Deltaport Logistics Centre to start construction, but it is a project where TFN has played a role every step of the process. In addition to TFN leasing the land, three TFN joint venture companies have been contracted to complete various stages of construction and operation:
- TFN/Matcon Civil JV completed the site filling and servicing,
- TFN/Wales McLelland JV is constructing the building,
- and TFN GardaWorld JV will provide security services.
We are also working with potential partners to secure the building operations contract. TFN is well on it’s way to be the delivery agent for each component of this high profile project.
